The National People’s Power (NPP) Hingurakgoda Pradeshiya Sabha member, who was arrested for allegedly threatening police officers, was released on bail by Hingurakgoda Magistrate Duminda Karunarathne today.
He was released on two sureties of Rs. 200,000 each by the magistrate.
He was arrested last night for allegedly threatening police officers and using criminal force inside the Hingurakgoda Police Station in an attempt to secure the release of his brother.
